DESCRIPTIVE PARAGRAPH
1. Definition
Descriptive paragraph is paragraph that describe about particular thing, place or person. Descriptive paragraph is usually also used to help writer develop an aspect of their work, e.g. to create a particular mood, atmosphere or describe a place so that the reader can create vivid pictures of characters, places, objects etc.
2. Social function (purpose)
To describe a particular person, place or thing
3. Generic Structure
• Identification : identify phenomenon to be described
• description : describe parts, qualities, characteristics
4. Language features
The description text has dominant language features as follows:
• Using Simple Present Tense
• Using action verbs
• Using passive voice
• Using noun phrase
• Using adverbial phrase
• Using technical terms
• Using general and abstract noun
• Using conjunction of time and cause-effect.

My Favorite Actor
One of my favorite actors is Robert Tomas Pattinson. He was born on born on May 13, 1986, in London, England. His performance in Twilight movie amazed me. Even tough his skin is pale in this movie, because he acts as one of Cullens’ vampire, he still awesome in every movement.
Robert Pattinson in real life has blonde hair, blue eyes, and he is good looking. Like most of western guys, he is tall. He becomes one of the most beautiful men in the world. Sometimes he likes to let his beard on his beautiful face, and it really makes him looks cool and handsome. He is one of a good artist, he is not only play in such movie; he is also talented in making songs. He writes himself and composes it.
That is why I love Robert Pattinson the most. He is awesome and multi talented guy in their ages.
